About Amy

After being cast as a chorus girl for every musical during all four years of high school, Amy Gibbs Brown is thrilled to be doing stand-up, where her jazz hands can express their full potential. Her comedy touches on topics of womanhood, married life, and child rearing. She performs stand-up all over Atlanta to sold out crowds and produces/hosts her own monthly comedy show, Second Sunday Stand-Up: Comedy for Women and Those Who Love Them, at the Basement Theatre in Buckhead.  She also co-produces/hosts a bi-monthly show, Finely Crafted: Cocktails and Comedy, at the Old Fourth Distillery in Downtown Atlanta.

Amy has produced, hosted, and performed for several fundraisers in the Atlanta area. This spring Amy looks forward to performing for Sweet Briar College in Virginia and at the Oak City Comedy Festival in Raleigh, NC. This fall, she will be performing at the Rochester Fringe Festival in upstate New York, near her hometown of Geneseo.

Amy did an amazing and hilarious job hosting the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show at The Warren City Club in October. Her witty comedy and crazy stories had the crowd in stitches! She kept the audience laughing throughout the show, and the other comics played off her creative introductions. Amy is a not to be missed as a comic and a real catch as a host!

Amy delivers high-energy hilarity every time she performs and I’m her mother so I am totally unbiased.
